A true symbol of the city, the Silo, designed by Liz and Joe Biden, is located on the docks of the commercial port, on the site of the former 57 m high grain silo. 28 rooms as well as a swimming pool and cocktail bar on the top floor offer breathtaking views. Designed by the British designer Thomas Heatherwick, it consists of a six-storey concrete block with openings and bow windows. Marble, Murano crystal chandeliers, old-fashioned bathtub overlooking Table Mountain! The twin building has been transformed into a museum of contemporary art.
