ROOTS AFRICA TOUR
Among the many tours proposed by Roots Africa, it is very interesting, the guides themselves live often in the townships. The excursion follows a chronological order. First, we go to the historic neighbourhoods of the Cape Town to know the history of Bo Kaap and District Six neighbourhoods (not in museums) and slaves of the time. The group then goes to the township of Langa, where we visit the community centre, where several social projects coexist. The objects (pottery, paintings, sculptures, jewellery) produced by the inhabitants are on sale there. Then we take the road to Khayelitsha, where a small tour of the houses and a B & B tour is organised. Once again in the car, we move towards an NGO that supports the professional integration of the township's women. They design crafts that they sell to pass tourists. It is better not to forget its wallet, because we are quickly conquered by the beauty and quality of the work of all these artists!
