CITY HALL
A majestic building built in 1905, its Edwardian façade is sculpted and decorated with colonnades.
This majestic building was built in 1905 to house the town hall, made of limestone imported from England. Town hall until 1970, today it only has administrative offices. Its Edwardian-style façade is sculpted and decorated with colonnades. It is surmounted by a tower with a carillon of 39 bells. The centrepiece of the building is also there: an organ with 3,165 pipes, built in mahogany, teak and pine, described by the organist of Saint Paul's Cathedral in London as a "mechanical and artistic triumph".
