Remarkable summit offering beautiful views of the city, Table Mountain, Camps Bay and the ocean, a good address for hiking.

It takes imagination to recognize his Lionhead profile. At the top, the view is fascinating: Table Mountain in the back, overlooking downtown on one side, Camps Bay on the other, the ocean in between. A very popular hike among the locals. The most difficult part: the arrival on the summit, at 669 m. Beware of vertigo and young children, both routes are difficult. On one side, a climbing passage using an iron chain for the sportsmen, on the other, a passage through big stones on the edge of the cliff.

Un point de repère au Cap
C'est un point de repère quand on regarde du haut de la Table, la ville du Cap cernée de montagnes avec aussi la colline du signal .

Magnifique randonnée que nous avons fait au lieu de la Table Mountain car le téléphérique était fermé. Mais au final nous n'avons pas regretté car la vue est absolument magnifique là haut. Le panorama s'étend sur 360° avec la vue sur la ville de Cape Town, Signal Hill, Table Mountain, l'océan et Camps Bays. Nous avons mis environ 2h pour monter et sommes redescendu sur signal hill puis en ville dans le quartier Bo-Kaap. Il faut de bonnes chaussures car certains passages sont un peu sportifs (échelles, cailloux glissants,...)

J'ai fat l'ascension de Lion's Head de bonne heure un matin ensoleillé. Une ascension qui en valait véritablement la peine car lorsque nous sommes au sommet, la vue est incroyable. Bien évidemment, il faut prévoir de bonnes chaussures car les pentes sont parfois raides.

Une magnifique randonnée qui offre au final un point de vue époustouflant sur l'océan, la ville et Table Mountain. Pensez à prendre de bonne chaussures de marche. A recommander vivement.
