Frans Malan was the first in South Africa to launch the idea of a wine route. He was also the first to produce according to a champagne method. A forerunner in the field, therefore. Today, the cellar master produces an excellent pinotage, called redhill pinotage, but also a syrah, the merindol sirah. Also, he improves year after year his Cap Classique method, ex-champenoise, Kaapse Vonkel, which according to us is in the top national.
