At Kranskop, passion is bottled! The first year of production of the cellar dates from 2001, but the first vines were planted around 1792. Known and respected for his dedication and love of the wine industry, Newald Marais, the current owner of the estate, has many inspiring stories to tell, supported by a long list of award-winning wines. In a garage on the family farm outside Robertson, this boy's youthful curiosity led him to his first wine-making experience. The "ultimate dream" came true in 2009 when he became the owner of Kranskop Wine Estate. Fresh, ripe and carefully hand-picked grapes for delicious sauvignons blancs, viognier, chenin blanc, chardonnnay, pinot noir, merlot, chiraz, cabernet sauvignon, tannat and viognier noble in late harvest. Kranskop ensures that each skilfully designed bottle of wine is produced without harming the environment. Small volumes guarantee the estate's commitment to the highest standards and uniqueness of the wines, making Kranskop an ideal visit and destination for wine lovers.
