SPRINGFIELD ESTATE
In the heart of the mountainous Robertson Valley, Springfield Estate is a family winery owned by descendants of the ninth generation of French Huguenots who arrived in South Africa from the Loire in 1688. Assisted by a team of dedicated workers, winegrower Abrie keeps a watchful eye on vineyards and wines, while his sister Jeanette coordinates marketing on the local market and abroad. Using a combination of sometimes risky winemaking techniques, traditional methods and modern technologies, combined with a practical sense and unwavering determination from life on land, the Bruwer family is able to make wine that lives up to its motto: made on honor.
