This large church was built on the site of the previous one in 1893. In 1831, a mysterious French woman, Juliana, decided to donate an organ to the mission. The instrument arrived on site on January 30, 1832, bringing vocations to the community. During the construction of the new church, the organ of "Juliana" was moved to another mission. An organ builder only found its trace in 1988, at an antique dealer in Cape Town. A subscription allowed its restoration and installation in Genadendal.
