THE DUTCH REFORMED CHURCH

The church dominates the village from a height of 51 m and houses a monumental organ.
A marvel! Completed in 1907, it dominates the village from the top of its 51m. Its slightly off-centre bell tower, its cream-coloured walls, its generous volumes, its ceilings in painted and worked sheet metal, its monumental organ and its chandeliers form a whole that harmoniously surpasses the sister church of Graaff-Reinet. Outside the church is the kerksaal, a hall whose walls are decorated with a painted woollen tapestry. Volumes and colours tell the story of the creation of the world and the coming of Jesus Christ.
