REINET HOUSE MUSEUM
The rooms on the main floor give a good idea of the living environment of notables.
From Somerset, walk up Murray Street to Reinet House, opposite Parsonage Street. This former vicarage houses the local Museum of Folk Art. The rooms on the main floor give a good idea of the living environment of 19th century gentry. In the courtyard, a hall hides some curious machines, including a goat cart and a wheel-mounted stretcher. The garden, with its hundred-year-old vine, completes an architectural ensemble designed in 1812 on the basis of plans then attributed to Louis-Michel Thibault.
