The Valley of Desolation can be reached by car through the Camdeboo Nature Reserve. A beautiful site, where the mountain seems to have been cut with an axe. Once parked, you walk 10 minutes along the marked trail to the platform at the edge of the precipice. If you have an hour, you can take the Nature Walk, marked with a logo in the shape of a lizard. The view is about a hundred kilometres away. On the way, the viewpoint on Graaff-Reinet offers the opportunity to understand how the town developed in a circle, in a curve of the river?
