This stadium considered to be the home of groups of fanatical supporters has been the object of every attention to avoid excesses. Built in 1952 in the country's white bridge, it has always been designed to host rugby matches, but it has entered the history of soccer with the emergence of the team encouraged by Sothos Bloemfontein Evangelism. It was renovated in 2009 for the Confederations Cup and of course for the World Cup, and expanded to accommodate more spectators. Bloemfontein received an envelope of 221 million rands to increase its capacity from 38 000 to 45 000 spectators, and to have a new roof, a new system of lighting and rebroadcast on giant screen, like other stages.
