FIRST RAADSAAL MUSEUM
A small museum in Bloemfontein offering quality exhibitions focusing on conservation, research and education.
The First Raadsaal Museum is the oldest building in the city as Major Warden established the first school in the area in 1849. Today it is an extension of the National Museum in Bloemfontein. In 1854, the Boers, finally masters at home, made it the seat of the first people's assembly, hence the present name. Here ends the visit of the centre on foot, in this small museum which aims to offer quality exhibitions through which the establishment wants to highlight conservation, research and education.
