ANGLO BOER WAR MUSEUM
A museum in Bloemfontein recounting the atrocities and political issues of the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902).
If you're still wondering why we don't like the English around here... Start by approaching the National Women's Memorial, the sandstone obelisk in memory of the 27,927 women and children who died of starvation or disease in the 130 concentration camps set up by the British during the Anglo-Boer War (1899-1902). Next to it, the War Museum, presents a very complete panorama of the atrocities and political stakes of this war decided by the whites but in which many blacks perished. The total death toll exceeds 70,000.
