TENIKWA WILDLIFE REHABILITATION CENTRE
Go there and contact
Well signposted from the road, Tenikwa offers steps with cheetahs (cheetah) for lift and sunset. The walk takes place in harnesses and the cats are impatient at the time of the appointment! They come from the breeding centre and are therefore unable to live in the wild. The centre gives them maximum freedom with these walks, even if they are in captivity the rest of the time. Idem for the other cats in the park in captivity: wild leopards, caracals, servals and cats. The guides will give you explanations about each species, one of them is francophone. The centre also carries out a rehabilitation activity for rescued animals in the region (with a foundation with a veterinary clinic), saving hundreds of birds and small mammals injured on the Garden Road, reported by local populations. All are released after their operation and convalescence.
