Humewood Beach, in front of Beach Road, was the first seaside resort outside Europe to be awarded the famous Blue Flag for environmental friendliness. Aesthetically, it's definitely not the Bahamas! Supervised, heated swimming at MacArthur's Baths, with changing rooms, on King's Beach. To avoid crowding the city's beaches, you can head to Van Stadens River Mouth, where the sand is more solitary.
