ESIWENI LUXURY SAFARI

My family and I and friends had a wonderful time together at Esiweni Luxury Lodge. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. It felt like we were being welcomed at their own home and not feeling like just being in another safari lodge out there.
The rooms are very private. The decor is elegantly decorated, warm and cozy and yet very spacious. Simply divine!

My wife, two teenage sons and I spent four magical days at Esiweni over Spring break. From our late night arrival when we were greeted with homemade midnight snacks, to our two daily game drives, drinks with the owners, and three fantastic chef created meals per day, everything was perfect. Emotions were high on the daily game drives where we saw every wild animal from the Lion King and then some. That was made up for with the highly relaxing mid-day naps on the private terrace. The gourmet meals were delightful and interesting (we ate zebra, impala and warthog), with every attention to detail, including our dietary restrictions. Lastly we treasured sharing a drink with owners Sophie and Ludovic and hearing their journey from France to the South African bush. To say this was a life changing experience would just about do it justice.

We spent five days at Esiweni Lodge in August 2022 and our stay was nothing short of magical. Sophie and Ludovic and their wonderful crew made sure that our experience was unforgettable, and they succeeded. First, the lodge is a haven of peace perched on a cliff with breathtaking views. It’s luxurious, yet authentic and homey, decorated with both class and comfort in mind. The staff is always paying attention to any of your need. The meals are Michelin star quality, which is quite a feast considering you are in the middle of the bush. The safaris were always different, and it feels like we saw the entire Noah’s Ark. Lions feeding on a fresh kill, giraffes in the sunset (while sipping my favorite cocktail by a camp fire), rhinos, cheetahs, zebras, impalas, wilderbeasts, hippos, warthogs, buffalos, elephants… are a few of the incredible sightings we enjoyed. If it gives a measure of our excitement, I took close to two thousand photos during our stay. Our South African vacation was an unforgettable experience, and left us with memories of a lifetime.

南アフリカ　レディースミスにある自然保護区の公園内にあるコテージ。昼はサファリ　夜は満天の星空。日常を忘れて心底楽しめる。ジープに乗ってのサファリは像やキリン、シマウマなどなど日本では考えられないスケールで楽しめる。コテージは広大な谷を見晴らす崖の上に立っていて　最高な景色だ。一生に一度でもこれを楽しめたら幸せと言えるだろう。
