On the flanks of Mount Majuba, a small house in red brick, with its veranda opening on the lawn. Here was the family of American writer Eugene O'Neill, Nobel Prize in Literature in 1936. The cottage was used as a campaign hospital during the Battle of Majuba and signed the peace treaty at the end of the hostilities of the first Anglo-Boer war (1880-1881). Picnic site. There are kids on the spot.
