Phinda Private Game Reserve is a 170 km² private game reserve in KwaZulu-Natal. It is renowned for its luxury accommodation and high-end safaris in a varied landscape. The reserve is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros) and 436 species of birds. It is particularly renowned for its close-up sightings of the elegant but elusive cheetah, as well as the rare black rhino. With its seven distinct habitats, Phinda is often described as the "Seven Worlds of Wonder", a magnificent patchwork of woodlands, grasslands, swamps and forests, interspersed with mountain ranges, rivers, marshes and lagoons. The reserve is located close to the unspoilt beaches and spectacular coral reefs of the Indian Ocean, offering an unrivalled combination of bush and beach adventures.
