SAN MARTIN CHURCH
Very impressive, this church was built in the nineteenth century (1843-1844) in replacement of its thirteenth century eldest, judged in poor condition. His plans are the work of Maillet du Boullaye, architect in Caen and the land, a gift from the Marquis de Venoix. The church, in cross form, is overcome by a dome and, contrary to traditional standards, north-south. The interior holds treasures: A wooden chair sculpted on the theme of the Good Pastor, stalals, a golden eagle offered by Empress Eugénie in 1857, a master altar surmounted with a retable representing the Holy Family (copy of a painting of Murillo of 1680, preserved at the Louvre Museum), a harmonium, stone statues, a beautiful statue of the Child Jesus of Prague, beautiful stained glass of Saint Hubert, Mary and charity of Saint Martin.
