KWAMUHLE MUSEUM
A museum designed to correct the vision of history told under apartheid.
The purpose of this museum is to correct the view of the history told under apartheid. This building was the headquarters of the colonial authorities in Durban who created racial segregation through labour, which later became the basis for the apartheid regime. Today, it is a museum that "depicts Durban as an African city searching for a new identity in a new political context". From the birth of Durban to its development, it highlights the interactions, confrontations and relationships of the people.
