This museum opened in 1954 was the home of one of the rich families of Durban, the Robinson. Sir John Robinson was Premier of Natal and headed the daily newspaper of the Mercury city. The museum recounts the life of the bourgeois families of the time through antique furniture, massive clocks and ceramics from China, very fashionable at the time. In the background, oils showing the city in the th century and its port.
