Café-restaurant with terrace in Amsterdam offering sandwiches.

Opened many years ago, De Jaren is certainly the city's first true design café, offering a timelessly elegant interior. In the mornings, you can sip your coffee with the daily press. You can then indulge in a sweet treat (cinnamon-flavored apple pie, perhaps?), followed by classic sandwiches and salads. For the evening, we've selected a number of dishes, including a grilled salmon fillet. The terrace overlooking the water is very popular for the borrel, the little evening drink.

Je reste scandalisée par la qualité des plats servis: soupe de tomate imbuvable, saucisse du hot dog sèche et dure, spaghettis avec sauce bolognaise médiocre. Nous avons laissé les assiettes pleines et signalé au propriétaire notre grande déception !!! Pour une fois je regrette les recommandations du guide.

Restaurant situé au bord de l'Amstel, avec des plats bons et abordables.
Le dimanche, ils proposent des brunchs.
Le repas en terrasse vaut vraiment le coup!
