Pancake heaven is here! Since 1973, this family-run establishment has been offering locals and visitors alike the best crepes in town. Mind you, we're talking about Dutch pancakes: filling, thick and delicious. You'll have a wide choice: traditional pancakes but also with flavors from the other side of the world! The children's pancakes, full of surprises, are a huge and justified success. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service fast. And the location couldn't be better: just a stone's throw from the Anne Frank House.

Owner's Message
Enjoy the famous and delicious traditional Dutch specialty at our unique historic venue on the Prinsengracht (Prince's Canal), a stone's throw from the Anne Frank House and the Westerkerk.
In our 17th-century warehouse, once owned by the Dutch East India Company (VOC), you can dine and enjoy a quick, affordable meal. In our open kitchen, you can watch us prepare divine crepes, ranging from a traditional Dutch crepe topped with syrup or powdered sugar, to our worldwide favorites like Caprese with tomato and pesto. You can also make your own crêpe!
We're open every day from 9am to 8:30pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 9pm. On Christmas Day, we're open from 9am to 5:30pm. In summer, you can sit out on our terrace on the Prinsengracht.
How to find us
The Pancake Bakery is located in the historic Hope and Love buildings, adjacent to Faith. During the Dutch Golden Age, when the Dutch East India Company flourished, trade and faith often went hand in hand, which explains the logic behind the names of these historic commercial buildings. The Pancake Bakery is located on the Prinsengracht, part of Amsterdam's famous canal belt.
