Opened in 1988, Hotel Nes is a charming, family-run establishment where you'll feel right at home: the thirty-nine comfortable rooms are nestled in a magnificent 400-year-old historic building, itself situated along a charming canal. The decor features warm chocolate tones. Location-wise, it couldn't be better: we're literally right in the center of Amsterdam, a stone's throw from the city's main sights. In this price range, it's one of the best choices in town.

The breakfast was good, and the rooms fully sufficient. Good value for the price. Recommendation
For example: When I checked in the gentleman at the front desk asked me what language I speak. I told him it was German and he proceeded to do the full check-in process in German because he wanted to learn the language better. I toughed that was very sweet and thoughtful.
I stayed there twice during the last two weeks and will definitely come back in the future.
The Hotel is nicely located in the city center with plenty of shops and restaurants around it. If you do the typical tourist activities the location is excellent.
The room I stayed in was not very big and nothing special, it was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. For the price I payed, I can not complain.
The hotel offers valet parking for €40 a day which is a fair price for this city. (I previously parked my car in a public parking garage for more than double the price, so be aware when travelling by car)
