Luxury hotel with star restaurant and spa located in the city of Amsterdam overlooking the canals and garden.

A stay steeped in history. This luxury hotel is housed in a building that was first a convent, then the seat of the Admiralty during the Golden Age, then Amsterdam's town hall, before becoming a hotel. The 177 rooms (including 52 suites) combine perfection, comfort, historical details, modernity and practicality. We love the decor, the choice of colors and fabrics. Everything is perfectly mastered. Spa and swimming pool at your disposal. The hotel is also home to Bridges, an exceptional restaurant.

We felt warmly welcomed when we arrived. Our rooms were beautiful and had lovely canal views. The breakfast was wonderful and all the people at the hotel were friendly and made us feel well cared for. The location of the hotel was perfect!

Great experience at Sofitel Legend The Grande. Booked through Amex as a Fine Hotel and was upgraded to a Suite. The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam with plenty nearby. All of the staff was wonderful especially the staff at the restaurant where we had breakfast as well as at the bar in the hotel restaurant. Honestly, the only thing I would have to complain about is the lighting in the Suite. It was very dark and was made worst because our stay was during a couple of days of rain. I would definitely recommend a stay with Sofitel Legend The Grand. It definitely enhanced our visit to Amsterdam.

The hotel is very nice, situated in a perfect location. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are clean, but some of them need to be renovated. While waiting in the lobby, they offered me a glass of champagne."
