Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff, who were helpful throughout our stay. The small lobby had a cozy vibe, which was nice to come back to after a long day of exploring the city.

Wonderful hotel with amazing people!!!! Loved every minute spent there with my friends. I really felt the atmosphere of Amsterdam in this hotel. Very close and convinient to everything.

We had a lovely romantic weekend in this wonderful hotel. Room was so nice with a beautiful view of the canal. The staff was really helpful and efficient.

I recently booked a one-night stay and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From pre-arrival to departure, a series of issues left me questioning the quality of service at this establishment.
Before my arrival, there was a water pipe bursting incident that rendered the access to the hotel and its surroundings unsafe. Shockingly, I received no notification from the hotel about this situation, leaving me to discover the hazards upon arrival. Police presence at the scene advised guests against using the main path to access the hotel, creating a disconcerting atmosphere right from the start.
Adding to the chaos, there was a noticeable absence of staff at the hotel. The lack of a welcoming presence and assistance added to the overall feeling of neglect. The situation worsened when I attempted to climb the stairs to my room. The stairs were not standard and very dangerous, especially for guests with suitcases. This posed a significant safety concern that should not be overlooked.
Upon entering my room, I was greeted by an unclean environment. The condition of the room fell short of basic cleanliness standards. To my horror, the toilet paper was visibly mouldy, and to make matters worse, there was no water available during the night of my stay. This left me in a highly inconvenient situation, and the lack of water should have been communicated beforehand or promptly addressed upon discovery.
Furthermore, the room itself was uncomfortably cold, contributing to an unpleasant night's sleep. I expected a basic level of comfort during my stay, which unfortunately was not met.
In an attempt to address these issues, I contacted our booking agency to share my concerns. Shockingly, the hotel not only lied about the duration of the water shortage but also refused to take responsibility for the problems I encountered.

The hotel room was very dirty, awful service and resposibility, toilet was not clean, and bed sheets were stained!
Staircase is not suitable for suitcsses!

During my one night stay at this hotel, I faced some serious issues. There was a water leak because of a broken pipe. This made the hotel and the area around it unsafe. The police even blocked the road and said it wasn't safe for anyone to be there. Surprisingly, the hotel didn't bother to tell us about this dangerous situation, and took no responsibility.
Additionally, the hotel had an awful staircase that was difficult to use, especially with luggage. It seemed designed for less than 160cm height.
The hotel's service was poor, the rooms were tiny, and I even found mold on the toilet paper! No body was there to even change it!
But the worst part was when I reported the water problem to booking.com, the hotel lied and claimed it was just a 5-minute issue, which was not true.
In summary, my stay here was not good because of safety problems, an unusual staircase, bad service, small rooms, and even moldy toilet paper. The police blocked the road and declared the area unsafe, but the hotel didn't seem to care. I strongly recommend finding a different place to stay in Amsterdam.

No reception just instruction
My room No 7 at the very top of awkward narrow very steep steps felt more like a prison cell. Cold on arrival with no view. Shower quite slow although very clean.

Perfektes Stadthotel in zentraler Lage an der Gracht. Einziges kleines Manko: es gibt kein Frühstück, aber in nächster Umgebung finden sich viele nette Cafés, daher kein Problem
The rooms are a little smaller than you imagine, don't bring too much stuff :)
