I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. I don't understand the complaints in other reviews about steep stairs and low ceilings, as these details are explicitly mentioned on the website. It's a house in the old town of Amsterdam, and these are simply the architectural conditions there. And that's why the location is great!

The service at the hotel is really top-notch, very personal and extremely attentive. Thanks for the spontaneous wine tasting in the evening, we had a lot of fun! The breakfast is magnificent. We chose the 3-course breakfast menu from the Michelin-starred chef, but the other breakfast options like pancakes or French toast also looked amazing! Additionally, a harpist plays on Fridays through Sundays. We enjoyed our breakfast listening to pieces from Sting to Billy Joel. All in all, we had a great stay and found the price-performance ratio to be appropriate.

Das Hotel wurde über Booking gebucht. Ausgewählt wurde es aufgrund der räumlichen Nähe zu einem Kunden, den ich besuchen wollte. Auf Booking gab es für diese Hotel ausschließlich non-refundable Rates. Das birgt natürlich ein gewisses Risiko und unter normalen Umständen buche ich auch keine non-refundable Rates, da sich Pläne immer ändern können und unvorhergesehenes geschehen kann. Die Nähe zum Ziel meiner Reise und die fehlenden Alternativen bei den Rates haben dann doch zur Entscheidung für das Hotel geführt. Ein großer Fehler, wie sich im Nachgang herausstellte.

Anreisetag wurde sehr kurzfristig mein Flug nach Amsterdam aufgrund schlechter Wetterbedingungen am Flughafen annulliert, sodass ich gezwungen war, meinen Termin zu verschieben.

Bei der Airline hat das anstandslos funktioniert. Das Hotel zeigte sich jedoch sehr unflexibel. Obwohl ich für meinen Wunsch nach einer Umbuchung eine Zuzahlung für die Preisdifferenz zwischen non-refundable und refundable Rate angeboten habe, blieb der Duty Manager stur und verwies ausschließlich wiederholt auf die Hotel Policy und darauf, dass ich eine andere Rate hätte wählen müssen, um eine Umbuchung vornehmen zu können, welche zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung und auch zum Zeitpunkt der Erstellung dieses Reviews auf Booking von diesem Hotel NICHT angeboten wurde / wird.

So blieben mir ausschließlich die Option, ersatzlos zu stornieren oder mit erneuter Bezahlung des vollen Zimmerpreises umzubuchen. Ich habe mich für die Stornierung entschieden.

Das Hotel mag an sich im Bezug auf Lage und Ausstattung in Ordnung sein. Das kann ich aufgrund oben geschilderter Erfahrung nicht beurteilen. Wenn ein Hotel, dass zum Zeitpunkt des Ereignisses laut Booking noch zahlreiche Zimmer nicht vermietet hat, zu solchen Mitteln greift, anstatt mit dem Kunden eine einvernehmliche Einigung zu finden, kann sich jeder sein eigenes Bild davon machen, welchen Stellenwert die Wertschätzung von Kunden in diesem Hause hat.

Had an incredible 4 day stay here. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast incredible, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. I can't speak highly enough of how above and beyond every staff member were in dealing with any of our issues or questions.
And on top of that, I don't think there is a better placed hotel in Amsterdam. It is close to almost every good Amsterdam museum or food place, and still somehow not in the busy, crowded streets, thus relatively quiet at night. I can't wait to be back!

Very good and attentive staff, the room itself was gorgeous and had all ammenities you could have asked for. The bed itself was really comfortable as well and you don't even feel like you are in the middle of Amsterdam, it was that silent! Well done and we will gladly come again.

Great location but not a 5 star hotel. 3 to 4 stars at best. Nice staff but a horrible room. We reserved a family room only to find out kids sleep inside a closet! Outrageous. Overpriced for what it is. No elevators, just lots of stairs so not good for people with disabilities.

The hotel is a scam! This is definitely not a 5* hotel. While the service was excellent, the hotel owners are seriously lacking attention to detail. As a 5* hotel, no amenities in the bathroom apart from soap is unacceptable. No breakfast food laid out you have to order. Breakfast in your room is unavailable there is no menu or room service. The cleanliness was terrible. Poor housekeeping no tea bags no extra water -// this makes you a 3 star hotel. No concierge, no other amenities like gym or swimming pool. You are not a 5* hotel! The rooms are very very small. No lifts either

cute hotel in incredible location. service and staff were phenomenal. rooms are small and the hotel is not accessible for those who may have trouble with stairs. would recommend and stay again

This hotel is a gem in Amsterdam. Camilla and the concierges are so helpful. Great location on Prinsengracht - will definitely return.
