Our first time at the Dylan, we went for lunch with a group of 6. Beautiful place and great location. Our server was a friendly and helpful Italian gentleman. Everyone enjoyed it

Location is fantastic!

The restaurant is impressive and bar area has a lovely fire and comfortable seating.

Downside.

Room was duplex with a very steep staircase (see picture). You thought twice about going up and down it. I was forewarned about this afew days beforehand and asked to pay extra to change the room. As a matter of principle, I should receive a room that is accessible!

There were several issues with the concierge (forgotten breakfast in bed, removed my half packed case from my room - when I’d asked for it to be brought down the steep stairs only), mix up with the taxi - which is why the overall stars is low.

I found the room to be a bit dark but the location and restaurant are AMAZING. I mean you step out of the door and it’s like you are on a movie set. And even if you don’t stay here you have to try the restaurant, one of our most memorable meals during our 2 month Euro trip!

Perfect experience.

I've been to the Dylan before, popped in for drinks and snacks at the bar in the courtyard with my father before an event in summer 2023. Very decent, kind service and spent about 100+ euro as we had whisky and fancy drinks to toast the good life. Went again with a couple visiting from the UK, so 3 or us, in Nov and "tried" to get to the bar -- was stopped at reception and told "bar was fully booked" - the vibe was so unwelcoming. As if this person didnt think we belonged. She and a male supervisor said they were all full-up for lunch. I am a person of colour and my friends are not, just regular Brits. When we left my friends raised the issue they thought the treatment was ODD for a hotel and to be stopped so abruptly and given no alternatives was quite strange. Reading other reviews here I see that some Dylan staff have a "snob" issue. YOU CANNOT TELL IF SOMEONE IS CLASSY OR BELONGS BY CLOTHING OR SKIN COLOUR. We are all nice humans. People who enter your establishment can pay. Calm down a bit, you are in a big city. Be kind. The treatment I received on visit 2 was the total opposite of visit 1. Something is inconsistent in your service and message to the public.Choose what you want to be and how you want to be perceived.
