Family hotel located on the edge of Vondelpark in the city of Amsterdam.
The Hotel Atlas is located on the edge of the Vondelpark, in an attractive Art Deco house. This family-run hotel, carefully renovated and with around 20 rooms, is a good starting point for discovering the city. The hotel has kept its historical details and blended them with design elements and very Instagrammable colors. This makes it a decent address, far from the fury and fury of the nearby Leidseplein. At weekends, you can really feel the capital's gentle way of life, which is so much appreciated.

It's transformed in a cheap hostel like hotel.
I had to manually install the air conditioning myself - plug in, attach hose, hang it out of the window. The nightstand were falling apart. The reception closes up early with those roll-shutters like some night shop.
The "doublebed" are two singles in different corners of the room else they wouldn't fit, and they're slightly on an angle so you roll out 10x per night. Not ideal.
Absolute waste. Wish I wasn't such a cheapskate when booking it.
Edit: it's now 3 at night and the fire alarm is on for half an hour now, no one is here and no one is solving it. What a mess.
