Nicknamed "the temple of blues", this café is Amsterdam's oldest blues and rock haunt. Nestled in the heart of the Jordaan district, it regularly plays host to the best local bands. Admission is usually free and drinks are very affordable. The unpretentious but pleasant concert hall is located just behind the bar, allowing you to enjoy the performances in an intimate atmosphere. A must for the underground music scene, just a stone's throw from the big venues near Leidseplein.
