Nice bar between the Haarlemmerdijk and the superb Brouwersgracht. The wood-panelled setting is authentic. You can eat simple dishes (steak and French fries) at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the clientele is loyal. The beer list has made the place famous, and the few seats on the wooden benches on the terrace are much sought-after. For some, Oranjerie is the home away from home when you don't feel like cooking and you're looking for a pleasant evening, but not too hectic, well... just a little.
