OEDIPUS

If you think Amsterdam doesn't have an alternative district anymore, you need to stop by here. Œdipus is a local micro-brewery which, for some years now, has been offering visitors the chance to try its various beers on the spot, as well as to eat a few simple dishes. The atmosphere is warm and creative and, above all, very different from what you'll find on the other side of the river. It's a nice, unpolished place in the northern part of town, a 10-minute walk from the ferry. Beware of a slightly strong smell at the entrance, due to the craft beer.
