Dekmantel (Dutch for "cover") is a renowned three-day electronic music festival. From Friday lunchtime onwards, house and techno music are celebrated. In recent years, it has built up a solid reputation in this field. A special feature of this urban festival is that it takes place in the magnificent green setting of the Amsterdamse Bos, Amsterdam's forest, located in Amstelveen, a dormitory suburb to the south of the capital. The festival sometimes starts at the Muziekgebouw on Wednesday. The forest setting is impressive.
