The Over het IJ festival offers plays for all ages, usually in shows that often have no text, only music. It is a very creative and quite unique festival. It has been going on for about 30 years, and is held in the NDSM district, the city's former shipyard. Over a period of ten days, you can enjoy an alternative atmosphere quite unique in the capital, in a district different from others. Thematic bike tours are even organized around the festival.
