KONINGSDAG – JOURNÉE DU ROI

On King Willem-Alexander's national holiday and birthday, the Dutch spirit is summed up: warmth, madness, simplicity.
Since 2013, King Willem-Alexander succeeded his mother Beatrix and the national holiday has since taken place on April 27. In principle, nothing has changed: it is a great popular festival, the most popular of all. The whole country is transformed into a gigantic carnival, with concerts, popular dances and, above all, huge flea markets. The atmosphere is particularly joyful and lends itself to all kinds of excesses. The festivities begin the day before and continue for 24 hours. Not to be missed!
