Beautiful bourgeois house with eight tastefully decorated rooms in the Louis XV style in Amsterdam
This beautiful bourgeois residence was built in 1672 to designs by the famous architect Adriaan Dortsman. Since the 19th century, it has been owned by the Van Loon family, one of whose members helped found the Dutch East India Company in 1602. The interior features eight tastefully decorated rooms in the Louis XV style, enhanced by numerous works of art, including several portraits. The garden is superb, and the former stables host temporary exhibitions. A great place to visit.
