MUSEUMPLEIN
Museum that makes a point of convergence of several districts of Amsterdam, theater of soccer matches and swimming pool in summer.
Museumplein, as the name suggests, is the central square for Amsterdam's major museums. This is where you'll find the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum. This vast expanse of lawn serves as a focal point for several of the city's districts. In summer, the square is transformed into a playground for soccer matches. In winter, a skating rink takes over, delighting young and old alike. The place is pleasantly crowded at times, but remains a must for relaxing or getting together with friends.
