The Netherlands in general, and Amsterdam in particular, are inevitably beer-friendly. In recent years, however, wine has been gaining ground with specialized bistros and addresses. Wine Spot is one of them, and you'll be able to find just the right bottle you're looking for, aided by the good advice of Paulo or Filipe. As they are not purists, they also sell locally brewed beers and some really excellent chocolate bars. An address located in the west of the city, on a very lively thoroughfare.
