If you're in the mood for Kyoto, Amstelveen is the place to go. This address, between a shopping center and a busy street, may seem unlikely. The restaurant is accessed via a small (Japanese) garden and pretty flagstones. The atmosphere is very successful and the audience includes many Japanese, which is always a good sign. The cuisine is super-fresh and the wood-panelled setting is very warm. The sushi is excellent, but let us recommend all the dishes. Izakaya is the ideal address after a visit to the Cobra Museum.
