De Machinist is the name of this huge building, renovated a few years ago and now used as a cultural and hotel complex. The building, which once housed the Naval and Transport School, has been well preserved, with many references to the past. The complex is a meeting place for a wide variety of people, and includes a cinema, an auditorium, a bar-restaurant, as well as numerous workshops and offices, and a crèche! The cuisine is European, with many classic Dutch dishes. An atypical and endearing place.
