It was bound to happen: the foodhallen, Amsterdam's formidable market of food stalls, would one day move to Rotterdam. The concept is the same: several stalls (around 15) offering a variety of world cuisines in a lively, pleasant setting. The interpretation, however, is typical of Rotterdam, with local entrepreneurs and a historic industrial setting in a superb, masterfully renovated former warehouse. A beautiful place for a successful evening with friends in a very symbolic district of the city. Not to be missed.
