Loos is historically the city's first large café. The establishment is located in the Scheepvaartkwartier (maritime district). The place is large and bright, while the atmosphere is friendly and rather classy for the city. The public is a successful mix of businessmen, artists and students. Loos is also a restaurant offering French brasserie-style cuisine. The terrace, which completely surrounds the building, is very popular in fine weather, not least for its view of the Veerhaven, one of the city's pretty historic harbors.
