Protected building designed in 1949 and delivered by the city's star architect Hugh Maaskant, bringing together more than 200 companies
An iconic post-war building, the Industriegebouw was designed in 1949 and delivered in 1952 by the city's star architect, Hugh Maaskant. The 22,000m2 protected building was completely renovated in 2017. Today, it is home to over 200 companies and an active community of over 1,000 people with diverse activities. The building is home to the renowned MVRDV architectural firm (responsible for the Markthal and the Depot, the city's new landmark). The interior is open to the public on special occasions.
