MUSEUM SABBAGE
Museum in a private residence designed by the architects, is characterized by its space and brightness in Rotterdam
The museum is housed in a private residence designed by architects G.-W. Baas and L. Stokla. Baas and L. Stokla in 1938 during the Nieuwe Bouwen architectural period. The building is characterized by its spaciousness and luminosity, but above all by its modern lines. Since 1993, it has housed an interesting private collection of works by painter and sculptor Henk Chabot, who died prematurely in 1949 at the age of 55. Between the wars, Chabot was a leading exponent of Dutch Expressionism, notably with Charley Toorop.
