DELFSHAVEN PORT
Port appreciated for the charm of its basin, the Voorhaven, lined with warehouses and old buildings spared by the bombings
This port, once part of the city of Delft (its name means Port of Delft), has been an integral part of Rotterdam since 1886. Located south-west of the city center, it is appreciated for the charm of its basin, the Voorhaven, lined with warehouses and old buildings spared from the bombardments of the Second World War. Officially a district of Rotterdam, Delfshaven has a population of over 75,000. This district was spared the bombardments and is therefore the historical and traditional guarantor of Holland's second city.
