Museum in the Sint Jacobs Gasthuis, presenting the beautiful collection of the Cobra group in Schiedam
Post-1945 Dutch modern and contemporary art occupies a central place in the exhibitions of the Stedelijk Museum. The museum was moved into the Sint Jacobs Gasthuis after its renovation, and boasts a comprehensive and interesting collection of over 250 works (drawings, paintings from 1850 onwards, sculptures, engravings, ceramics, pottery). Particularly noteworthy is the fine collection by the Cobra group, which is well worth a visit in its own right.
