MUSEUM PRINSENHOF DELFT
Museum where you can see collections that trace the history of Delft and the House of Orange
It was here that William the Silent set up the House of Princes and sought refuge from Philip II of Spain in 1583, before being assassinated a year later. Dating back to the 14th century, the convent served in turn as a trade exchange, school, barracks and stables. Its collections retrace the history of Delft and the House of Orange over more than 5 centuries. Numerous paintings and objects provide an insight into the eventful past and historical figures. The museum also hosts interesting temporary exhibitions.
