DE BOTERWAAG
Dating back to the 17th century, the Boterwaag housed two houses: the public weight and the butter house. The butter was first weighed, then processed and packaged for sale. Today, the Grand Café De Boterwaag is a classic. In summer, its huge terrace buzzes with life, and it's the ideal place to listen to concerts on the Grote Markt. Admire the arched ceilings, all in red brick. A fine address offering Dutch-style cuisine, with sandwiches and crêpes at lunchtime and bistro dishes in the evening, as well as pizzas.
