OLD CITY HALL - OUDE STADHUIS
State building – Town Hall

One of the first Flemish Renaissance buildings in The Hague.
A rather unusual building, the result of several stages of construction, it shows little concern for harmony. A turret, built in 1565, is one of the first Flemish Renaissance buildings in Holland. From this period, the building still retains two stepped gables, contrasting with the Louis XIV facade on the Gravenstraat side and, above all, with a concrete wing dating from the 1970s, which houses the offices of the town hall.
